It was a pleasure to connect with fellow UK alumni at the 2024 Fall Career Fair for overseas graduates in Guangzhou last Saturday. I enjoyed discussions with Loughborough University alumni and other UK graduates seeking advice on their CVs and job interviews.
I can certainly empathize with fellows struggling with the challenges of the current job market. It can be a daunting process, and I have had tough periods as well. Thankfully, I received invaluable guidance on crafting a professional CV from a mentor who I met over 30 years ago, which helped me start my professional career.
Inspired by the Chinese saying, “Share the knowledge you have been given,” I’m taking action by offering CV and interview advice based on my own career development and alumni engagement experiences.
